Denpa_men

The Nintendo download spectrum is pretty stacked this week, with digital titles available across all three of the Big N's current platforms. Check out this week's games below, and prepare to have your mind blown by one eShop title in particular.

First off is Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers. This old school 2D fighter will run you 900 Wii Points. It's a solid title, and if you're a fan of these retro fighting games, maybe you should check this one out.

Now it's time for the mind-blowing game. The "Denpa" Men: They Came by Wave is ... weird. But it's weird in that awesome Japanese way. Just watch the trailer and you'll see what I mean. The game is available on the 3DS eShop for $9.99 and will give you some offbeat dungeon crawling gameplay for your cash. There's also Hitori by Nikoli, which is Sudoku, for $9.99. Last is the Game Boy puzzle game Quarth for $2.99. It's like Space Invaders meets Tetris, which is actually quite interesting.

Last on the menu is DSiWare with Kart Krashers. It's an action racer, but it only supports one player. That said, I read a positive review of the game, so it may be pretty cool. If you want to check it out, it's available for 500 DSi Points ($4.99 if you're playing it on your 3DS).

FIFA 13 sells 353,000 copies in first 24 hours in North America

FIFA 13 Image

In its first 24 hours on sale in North America, FIFA Soccer 13 sold 353,000 copies which, according to EA Sports, is a 42% increase over last year's FIFA 12.

With the sales boost, the amount of online games played also increased. In the first 24 hours, 1.4 million online games were played, a 35% year-over-year increase.

The iOS version of the game also performed well, marking the "biggest global launch-day performance of any iOS game in EA history".

The sales performance of FIFA 13 is more impressive when you take into account that Tuesday's launch was just in North America. The game is set to become available worldwide on Friday, and EA is expecting equally impressive numbers. For the first time in EA Sports' history, over 1.3 million games have been pre-ordered worldwide, which points "toward a historic opening when the game launches around the world on Friday."

"We're thrilled that fans throughout North America have embraced FIFA Soccer 13 in such a big way," said EA Sports Executive Vice President Andrew Wilson. "North Americans appreciate a great-playing game and their level of engagement with our game is helping to drive the sport's popularity in the United States."

FIFA 13 is available for PS3 with PlayStation Move support, Xbox 360 with Kinect, PS Vita, Nintendo Wii, PS2, Nintendo 3DS, and PSP. On November 18 it will release alongside the Wii U console.

Stained Image

Indie studio RealAxis Software has announced the launch of Stained, its side-scrolling puzzle platforming project. The game, which I previewed a couple of months ago, is currently available on Impulse, and it will be released on Desura in the near future.

Stained features a heavy emphasis on stained glass and combat. Solving puzzles and progressing through a haunted castle requires you to manipulate stained glass windows in your surroundings, turning them into platforms, and even battling them after they've transformed into monsters.

RealAxis currently has a demo up on its sight, so check it out and see if you dig the game. Additionally, be sure to watch out for GameZone's review of Stained. If you like it, you can also give the game an up vote on Steam Greenlight.

Conan O'Brien and Alex Morgan get their groove on with Just Dance 4

Just Dance 4 Image

Late Night host Conan 'O'Brien is back with another hilarious segment of "Clueless Gamer", a bit where Conan plays and reviews video games while absolutely knowing nothing at all about games.

In last night's segment, Conan takes on Just Dance 4, Ubisoft's upcoming music game which judges players based on their ability to mimic on-screen dancers performing a routine to a chosen song.

Replacing his usual partner, Aaron Bleyaert, who helps him play through these games is Olympic gold medalist Alex Morgan, who makes it very clear that her medal was won in soccer and not dancing. But will that stop her from embarrassing Conan in a dance off? I think we both know the answer to that.

Still, despite knowing Conan will be absolutely terrible at the game, it's still a pretty entertaining bit. It's not as funny as some of his other Clueless Gamer reviews since he's not able to go off on a tangent as easily, but watching Conan attempt to perform these dance moves is still pretty hilarious. Not to mention, you'll probably get a good idea of how stupid you look while playing Just Dance 4 by watching Conan.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit review

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit Image

It's off-beat, to say the least, but with Arkedo at the wheel, it's the kind of weirdness you can happily embrace as you carve your way through each stage.  This rabbit, hunting down those who caught him in some blush-inducing photos with duckies, has armed himself with a drill that mimics the design of a "wheel of death", allowing him to dig through walls and small enemies with ease.  He can also use missiles and other power-ups to do some damage to bigger enemies, as well as stock up for bosses who, surprisingly enough, actually have some feelings of their own.  A conversation with the first one we faced, for instance, was actually pretty funny – before we blasted him to bits, obviously.

Hell

Though the gameplay can be repetitive over the course of the game, Hell Yeah! has a whopping amount of destruction that side-scrolling junkies will come to appreciate.  Taking down enemies and lining up others in your sights is easy thanks to the user-friendly controls, and some of the bosses do pose a challenge later on in the game, so you might want to keep some ammunition on hand.  The mixture of included mini-games are a nice touch, including odes to button-mashing and hitting your attack button at just the right time to issue the most damage.  Again, repetitive, but fun.

Hell

Another neat aspect to Hell Yeah! is being able to use monsters you capture for use in a place called The Island.  Though it's really just mini-game territory, it does allow you to build up a rather interesting supply to visit when you're tired of just lumbering through hell.  We just wish it unlocked more, or at least gave us an option to fight it out ala multiplayer.

For its first full game release (the mini Xbox Live Indie games kind of don't count), Arkedo has gone all out with its design in Hell Yeah!  The animations are charming (in a demon-esque sort of way), the backgrounds are bright and colorful, and the nods to classic games of old (watch out for Sega references) are clever and likable.  There can be a bit much happening on-screen in later stages, but it isn't enough to completely distract you.  Likewise, the audio has its moments as well, between humorous sound effects (just wait till you bounce off a butt for the first time) and good rock music.

Hell

Though it's lacking in replayability without any sort of multiplayer or worthwhile hell-ish content, Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is still a superb side-scrolling romp that's worth the $15 price tag…especially if you're looking for something a little different from Sega's camp.  It kind of makes you wonder how much better Sonic the Hedgehog would fare with a "wheel of death", y'know?

R.A.W. - Realms Of Ancient War Image

R.A.W. is an old school styled, loot based hack and slash game, with typical class archetypes you'd expect to find in an Action RPG. You choose your basic wizard, warrior or rogue and start your adventure. While it’s seen as more of a throwback to games like the first Diablo, it certainly has way more problems.

The lack of voice acting in game is apparent right from the beginning as the first mission is to talk to someone in the first town. A box of dialogue will pop up on the bottom of the screen making the story seem like an afterthought. A few minutes in, I didn’t care what people had to say, as there was nothing exciting or interesting about the story.

During that same first quest, you’ll also notice the lack of a mini map, you know, the thing that almost every game of this type has. Instead, the game asks you to pause, and mark your location on a map to direct where to next, but ultimately it breaks up the flow of the game and doesn’t help much in dungeons.

raw

Combat in the game is the only thing done well, as you can map different abilities to the controller. Unfortunately there is no dodge, block, roll, or anything else that can keep you alive during combat, when massive amounts of enemies swarm your location. I found myself dying a lot using the wizard with ranged attacks since the 20 or so on screen enemies would get past my fireballs and beat the living daylights out of me. The only choice I had would be to run away, which usually resulted in agroing even more mobs. The inability to block is certainly frustrating, and trying to run away without a mini map is much harder than it should be.

One other big issue is how far the camera is zoomed out during gameplay. Smaller enemies don’t stand out well from the mobs and I was attacked and killed by little bugs that I didn’t see until they were hitting me. In one of the first dungeons, you face dark areas loaded with skeletons and other enemies, but the far away camera makes it incredibly hard to spot these enemies.

raw

R.A.W. has local co-op if you have a friend over, which is fine for the first player, but the second player doesn’t keep any of their progress, even with two accounts logged in on the same Xbox 360. So if your friend doesn’t mind playing just to help you out, it’ll be enjoyable.

There is so much wrong with R.A.W. that it’s hard to recommend, even as a $15 dollar download off of XBLA and PSN. From the missing features to the boring story, this is definitely a title I would avoid. Keep playing Diablo or Torchlight if you want excellent dungeon-crawler gameplay.

Konami asked the Metal Gear Solid creator to take over Silent Hill

To contact us Click HERE

At the Eurogamer Expo, the creator of Metal Gear Solid and the upcoming game Ground Zeroes discussed an interesting phone call he had with Konami.

"In the past, I've mentioned Silent Hill in interviews, and as a result of that the president of Konami rung me up and said he'd like me to make the next Silent Hill," said Hideo Kojima.

"Honestly, I'm kind of a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies, so I'm not confident I can do it. At the same time, there's a certain type of horror that only people who are scared of can create, so maybe it's something I can do.

"That said, I think Silent Hill has a certain atmosphere. I think it has to continue, and I'd love to help it continue. And if I can help by supervising or lending the technology of the Fox Engine, then I'd love to participate in that respect."

Konami publishes both franchises: Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill. It's interesting to imagine what a Silent Hill game made by Kojima would be like, whether or not it's a good fit.

RE 2

Capcom isn't planning to revisit Raccoon City in the hours before its destruction, but with a little push from fans, it might consider the idea — at least according to producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.

Hirabayashi told GamesSpot, "We are not working on a Resident Evil 2 remake as of now. But if the fans really clamor for it — if there's a groundswell of support for remaking that game — then I think that's something Capcom would take under consideration."

In 2002, Capcom remade the classic 1996 original for GameCube, and the result was a huge success. It's not a stretch to think that fans of the "REmake" would vocalize their excitement over another.

The next entry in the series, Resident Evil 6, is due out on October 2 — over a month ahead of its expected release date. Capcom is not developing the game for Wii U, and development for PC is only just underway. Hirabayashi said fans can expect more news about the PC version once the game has shipped for consoles.

Kinect Sesame Street TV review

To contact us Click HERE

Make no mistake, Kinect Sesame Street TV is for kids. I'd say from the age your child starts watching Sesame Street (my son started around two/two-and-a-half), your child will get something from this game. If you're an adult without children and thinking of purchasing this game, you'll probably be disappointed — unless you really love cookies or need to learn how to count.

Kinect Sesame Street TV isn't so much a game as it is an experience. Using content from actual episodes of the 42nd season of Sesame Street, you and your child will watch the episode and interact with it way more than just watching it on TV. When Grover asks for you to throw coconuts into the basket he's holding, you'll actually see the coconuts be tossed towards him. Cookie Monster asks you to jump? You jump and he responds to it. Want to play catch with Elmo, simply make a throwing motion and VOILA! You're playing catch with Elmo. It's all things that your child is encouraged to do watching an episode of Sesame Street anyways, except now the game is specifically responding to them instead of just having a short pause. So, in short, you're advancing the episode.

kinect sesame street tv

Each episode follows pretty much the same pattern, with counting numbers and having the Letter of the Day. You'll see a celebrity or have a song by Bruno Mars. You meet Cooper, who explains the game to you and introduces you to Flash and Mirror. Flash will aid you in capturing pictures of objects you need to find, and Mirror will show your reflection on TV. Cooper even matched the color clothes I was wearing, thanks to Mirror. You will have to find a certain object throughout a scene, like a ruler, for example. It's not always easy to spot it, but just yelling out "picture" will collect it for you. You'll go to Elmo's World, which is exactly like the show — and the kids go nuts at this part. The Kinect will put you inside Elmo's World. Think of it as an augmented reality where you can move and dance around and see yourself on TV. And of course, there's the interacting with Elmo. And if your child gets tired, feel free to sit down and just watch the episode like normal. I know my son gets in the comatose state when he's sees Elmo and zones out.

The episodes are divided into chapters, so your child won't have to play the entire 45-minute episode in one sitting. The episodes that come on the two discs are:

It's hard to imagine that they won't release more episodes for purchase, but this is a good amount of content for the price. You also get a 1-year Season Pass with the game that gives you access to thousands of Sesame Street clips, music and videos; your own personalized playlist; and complete seasons of Abby's Flying Fairy School and Bert & Ernie's Great Adventures.

kinect sesame street tv

Kinect Sesame Street TV isn't perfect. I noticed that you don't really have to be that accurate with your motions or what you are saying to it, but since it's a game for kids, it's hard to hold that against it. I guess anything that makes it easier for kids is better. There is a cap at what age I think this is enjoyable, though. I can't see a seven or eight-year-old enjoying it as much as a three or four-year-old. The reason being that it isn't as much a game as it is a 2-way TV experience, like they say it is. If it's more of a game you want, then Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster would be better.

Kinect Sesame Street TV is everything it says it is. It's a great educational tool for kids that will get them interacting with their favorite Sesame Street characters like never before. It might be the future of TV. All I know is, I've never had a bigger smile on my face than when I was watching my son enjoy this game more than anything else. And it was difficult to refuse him a cookie whenever Cookie Monster came on screen. I have to highly recommend this for purchase if you have children, as it'll be difficult to find a more appropriate and fun experience for them.

Kirby's Dream Collection review

To contact us Click HERE
Kirby's Dream Collection Image

The collection kicks things off with the 1992 Game Boy debut of the rotund protagonist, Kirby’s Dream Land. The game is entirely in black-and-white, and a large border surrounds the screen due to the resolution, which certainly warrants some level of complaint. But while it may be a bit aesthetically unappealing these days, Dream Land is still plenty of fun. This title didn’t feature Kirby’s signature copy ability, and it was also fairly short, making for a much simpler experience compared to its successors. Ideally, however, Dream Land is primarily a great history lesson for gamers interested in seeing how Kirby got his start.

Kirby's Dream Collection - Wii - 1

The next title in the compilation is Kirby’s Adventure, which had somewhat of a late NES launch in 1993. This game introduced the copy ability that the series is now known for, as well as the hub world elements, bonus mini-games, and brightly colored charm that’s so inherent in the franchise these days. There’s also a lot to do, with a large number of levels to play through and secrets to discover. Kirby’s Adventure is an overall better game than Dream Land, and it can very easily be considered one of the best games in the series, as well as an incredible NES era platformer in its own right.

Kirby’s Adventure is followed up by Kirby’s Dream Land 2, which appeared on the Game Boy in 1995 and featured a new mechanic: animal buddies. While this game suffers from black-and-white visuals and that nasty border like the first game, it’s notches above the original Dream Land in terms of gameplay. While that debut was entertaining, the addition of critters that you can ride through levels makes Dream Land 2 a ton of fun. And because your hamster, owl, and fish pals can grant you some unique attacks when combined with the standard copy abilities that you pick up along the way, the game makes for some entertaining experimentation.

Kirby's Dream Collection - Wii - 2

The fourth game in Kirby’s Dream Collection is Kirby Super Star, which is technically the weakest title in the entire set. That’s not to say that Super Star isn’t fun, because it certainly is. The problem is that it’s more of a mini-game collection than an actual adventure. There are a few platforming stages, as well as some genuinely enjoyable competitive two-player modes, but if you don’t have another Kirby fanatic to play with, the novelty may wear thin pretty fast. Even with its hindrances, Super Star has some truly novel elements. The visual style drips with charm, the music is cool, and the mini-games provide some worthwhile entertainment.

A true gem follows up Super Star in Kirby's Dream Collection. It wouldn’t surprise me if Kirby’s Dream Land 3 was the favorite among a lot of individuals who purchased this lovely compilation. This is, for all intents and purposes, the most beautiful-looking game out of the bunch. The whole thing looks like it was drawn and colored using crayons, and it’s very easy to tell how this game pushed the SNES hardware back in 1997 with its lush visuals and fluid animations. The actual platforming is also positively golden, and the addition of animal buddies new and old creates some of the most compelling Kirby gameplay in the series’ history.

Kirby's Dream Collection - Wii - 3

Last is Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, which originally appeared on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. What makes this game stand out from the rest is that Kirby can combine copy abilities. By inhaling two baddies, you can obtain a super-powered copy ability that’s devastating to your foes. We've never seen this feature revisited in subsequent games, but it makes for some outstanding experimentation. While not incredibly long, Kirby 64 is a fairly lengthy affair for the series, with huge levels to run through and crazy bosses to defeat. Kirby 64 may be one of the most underrated entries in the franchise, but this adventure still stands tall as a great example of unadulterated platforming bliss.

While all the aforementioned games are definitely awesome, it’s the oodles of incredible extras that really make Kirby’s Dream Collection shine. You can check out a timeline that dates back to the series’ humble beginnings. This bonus is especially novel because it gives you a year-by-year look at the games and a lot of the historical events that happened in between such as the Olympics and Bill Clinton’s election. Yup, all that stuff is in there! You can even watch a few episodes of the highly entertaining anime Kirby: Right Back At Ya! There’s also video and blurbs of every Kirby game, and some exclusive challenge levels based on last year’s Kirby’s Return to Dream Land. Throw in the collectible book and soundtrack CD, and you’ve got a truly special Kirby collection.

Kirby's Dream Collection - Wii - 4

Overall, Kirby’s Dream Collection is everything a die-hard fan of the spherical hero's adventures could want. Alternatively, newer fans could also find a ton of enjoyment here. The Wii disc compiles six classic Kirby titles and throws in a slew of wonderful extras to boot, making for hours of sweet content. It should also be noted that you can exit and continue where you left off in any of the games at any given time thanks to the added suspend feature, which works like the Virtual Console and is extremely useful. No, not every game is perfect, but even the titles that do have some glaring quirks are a sheer joy to play.

It’s good to know that Nintendo learned from its mistakes with Mario All-Stars. This time around, Kirby fans are getting something worth owning — a magnificent compilation of some of the pink puffball’s greatest hits, as well as tangible and digital bonuses that are nothing short of amazing. This is how you celebrate 20 years of one of the most underrated mascots in all of gaming. This is how you look back on a fantastic and cheery franchise.  Here’s to 20 more years of memorable Kirby awesomeness.

Resident Evil 6's TGS trailer reminds us there's story with our zombie killing

Capcom has released a new trailer for upcoming shooter Resident Evil 6. Previously shown at Capcom's booth during the Tokyo Game Show last week, the new trailer features intense action and lots of high tension situations with a heavy emphasis on the game's narrative.

Featuring three separate campaigns, you play as Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jake Muller in a campaign that's at least twice in length compared to Resident Evil 5. Capcom, for a while now, has been touting the length and depth of Resident Evil 6's story, and this trailer gives us a heavy dose of it...along with the expected action and explosions.

For a "clueless gamer" like Conan, a game such as Resident Evil 6 shouldn't have story, but for me I appreciate the effort Capcom seems to have put in to develop a memorable narrative experience.

Resident Evil 6 is set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 2. A PC version will follow shortly after.

Nintendo 3DS XL review

Nintendo 3DS XL Image

Here we are just over a year since the launch of the 3DS, and the Mario company has released the 3DS XL. But is this $200 device worth buying? Should you opt out of buying the regular ol' 3DS and get this much larger version? Should you maybe upgrade to the 3DS XL if you already own the original? The answer is yes.

The first thing worth mentioning is how comfortable the 3DS XL is. I had absolutely no cramping issues during my lengthy New Super Mario Bros. 2 sessions. The touchscreen works as well as ever, and the placement of the buttons, circle pad, and D-pad is great. Admittedly, it took me a short while to get used to the circle pad and D-pad positioning, but that's probably because I never gamed on the original 3DS all that much. After a few minutes, I was entirely accustomed to their placement. Also worth mentioning is the fact that there are now actual Home, Select, and Start buttons, which is certainly nice.

3DS XL - 1

That matte finish is sexy and smudge-free!

The 3DS XL boasts larger screens than the original 3DS. These suckers are a whopping 90 percent bigger, as many Nintendo ads will tell you ad nauseam. It really is impressive how much better the larger top screen makes the 3DS XL. The extra width is certainly welcome, and it makes focusing your vision on games a less taxing experience, especially if you dig playing with the 3D setting turned all the way up.

Speaking of games, the wider screens don't do much to make 3DS titles look ugly. A lot of folks thought graphics would take a massive hit, but that's not  the case. Yes, games are stretched out to fit on the upper screen, and if you're super anal about pixel density, you may notice a very slight dip in visual quality, but it's not even an issue. Regular DS games, on the other hand, do look noticeably worse on that large screen. Super Scribblenauts, for example, suffered from some oddly disjointed animation. If you absolutely need to play DS games on the 3DS XL, you don't need to worry about any hideous game-breaking graphics, but just be aware that those DS visuals are being blown up to fit on a much larger screen.

3DS XL - 2

Those big-ass screens really do make a difference.

The 3D effect in the 3DS XL is once again quite novel. Because the system has that nice large screen, the 3D probably won't be as visually tiring for some folks. If you were one of the many individuals who had eye straining issues after long play sessions, you'll be glad to know that the visual effect of the 3DS XL is easier on the eyes. Personally, I like playing with the 3D setting turned all the way up, and I have yet to experience any problems. I will note, though, that you need to look directly at the screen, as moving your head or the 3DS XL even slightly throws the stereoscopic visuals off.

As far as built-in functions are concerned, you've got all of the features from the original 3DS. The AR card games are still a decent though short-lived distraction. You can take pictures and create Mii characters. You can even explore the web using the not-so-awesome browser. Really, though, the 3DS XL isn't meant to be a multimedia device. It's a gaming device, and a fine one at that.

The biggest gripe I have with the 3DS XL is that the volume doesn't sound all that loud when it's at the highest level. You can hear it well enough, but I feel like the highest setting could have been louder. As it is, some gamers may have a tough time enjoying the sounds of their favorite titles if they live in a particularly noisy household or neighborhood. I found that wearing headphones provided me with a much more enjoyable experience as I gamed on my 3DS XL.

3DS XL - 3

Apparently, this is how people look when they play on their 3DS XL.

To put the battery life of the 3DS XL into perspective, I clocked in over four hours of New Super Mario Bros. 2 and spent just under an hour checking out the handheld's other features, and I used up most of the battery life. I had the 3D setting all the way up the entire time, used medium brightness, and had the volume up halfway due to my preference for wearing headphones. With those settings, the 3DS XL gives you about six hours worth of battery life. Obviously, if you've got the 3D turned off or are playing DS games, you can squeeze more juice out of the portable. As it stands, the six-hour average isn't great, especially since charging the darn thing takes about two or three hours, but it'll have to do.

Overall, the 3DS XL is by and large a superior handheld gaming device when compared to its predecessor. The matte finish gives it a slick look that ensures you don't get gross fingerprints all over it, and it even comes with a 4GB SD card for all of your downloadable gaming needs. Its large size, while certainly welcome, also means it's heavier, which may pose a comfort problem for the kiddies. That said, most elements of the 3DS XL — the screens, the larger size, the 3D effect, and the added comfort — come together to provide gamers with a Nintendo handheld that's worth the $199.99 asking price.

Weekly wrap-up: Just a tad late edition

The_last_story_-_wii_-_5

We’re a couple of days and several hours late, but regardless of that fact, we’ve got some of the top content from the past few days right here in our weekly wrap-up. Admittedly, I got caught up attending Comikaze Expo 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. But now that I’ve decided to ignore the sleep that my body and mind desire, I figured I’d provide you with GameZone’s latest reviews, previews, and original content.

Reviews

[REC] 3: Genesis review (Movies)

Changing things up considerably since the last two movies in the series, [REC] 3 does little to provide horror movie buffs with a satisfying experience.

Mark of the Ninja review (Xbox 360)

If you’re looking for a polished 2D stealth action game, look no further. Mark of the Ninja is a more than worthy Xbox Live Arcade download.

Branded review (Movies)

While this flick starts off hot, the events that lead up to the ending are so busted that you’ll likely regret spending money on this one.

Ratchet and Clank HD Collection review (PS3)

Three incredible Sony platformers all available on one disc for $30. Yup, this compilation is pure win.

Record of Agarest War 2 review (PS3)

While the combat is interesting, the convoluted and long-drawn out story really gets in the way of what should have been a great JRPG.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 review (Xbox 360, PS3)

Satisfying fighting gameplay and sexy visuals make this an all-out brawl worth bloodying your fists in.

NHL 13 Review (Xbox 360, PS3)

The best hockey title in years provides a sports game experience that can only be called groundbreaking. Well, it can also be called ice-shattering, I suppose.

Avengers Initiative review (iOS)

Think Infinity Blade, but with Marvel characters, which isn’t too shabby at all when you really think about it.

Space Holiday review (iOS)

If you’re looking for some space-themed puzzle-solving fun on your iOS device, look no further.

Double Dragon: Neon review (Xbox 360, PS3)

Double Dragon is back, mother b*itches, and it’s awesome. Like, totally awesome, dude! Seriously, dat ‘80s-inspired music!

NBA Baller Beats review (Xbox 360)

While not ideal if you live in an apartment above some other folks, NBA Baller Beats is still a fun title that puts your Kinect to good use.

Resident Evil: Retribution 3D review (Movies)

These movies need to stop existing.

The Last Story review (Wii)

This grand JRPG provides one of the most incredible storytelling and gameplay experiences of the year, not just on the Wii, but in the genre and across all platforms.

Previews

Hands-On: Aliens: Colonial Marines Escape Mode

The latest addition to Gearbox’s sci-fi FPS, Escape Mode, may bear a strong resemblance to Left 4 Dead, but really, is that even remotely a bad thing?

Hawken preview

Hawken isn’t your typical free-to-play game, and that’s definitely great news as this title will hopefully deliver some straight-up action worth checking out.

Lego Lord of the Rings hands-on

Top 5 'final' games and why they live up to their name

If a game is going to have some synonym of the world “final” in the title, it should definitely mean it.

Why Dead Space 3 co-op should be scary

Dead Space is known for being a legitimately chilling horror ride through space. Who says a co-op component should change that?

Saints Row: The Third, also known as my favorite game of 2011, is one hell of a thrill ride rife with hilarity and perviness galore. Zombies in Central Park Walkthrough

Zombies in Central Park walkthrough.Zombies in Central Park is a new point and click 'find the characters' game from gamezhero. If you didn't know, once a year the corpses become really bored in their cramped one room underground apartments, they go out to have a little fun and this time the place for their party in the central park.

Unperfect walkthrough

Unperfect Game Screenshot
Unperfect is Kotubukimedia's platform puzzle game following a story of a father and son relationship. One word to describe this game: challenging. Things get difficult as early as level 3. It's gameplay is quite promising where you have to use your mouse to interact and solve scenarios, giving the player the impression that it is not a regular platformer where you only use arrow keys.

The story it tell is not only interesting but it can be a clue to solving puzzles as well, though not always. Meanwhile, here is Unperfect walkthrough demonstrating how to beat all levels because chances are you're stuck in it that's why you are here.

Stupid Jerks Walkthrough

All stupid jerks must be removed, that is the one simple goal in this new physics puzzle game by NPGames. Although this game has many levels to keep up with the time you have to kill, they are relatively easy not challenging. But it is quite entertaining to keep you playing til the end.

Stupid Jerks Walkthrough

There are many ways to remove the jerks off the screen but this video of Stupid Jerks walkthrough shows one of the best way to do it.

Cargo Bridge 2 walkthrough

Cargo Bridge 2 is the latest sequel to the popular bridge building physics puzzle from Limex Games. This is where your construction skills will be put to test once again. Featuring more challenging levels and more building materials and different types of cargo that varies in sizes and weight.

Cargo Bridge 2 walkthrough.
The game's mechanics is simple: the player just have to build a bridge strong enough to hold the workers and cargo that will pass on it using given materials. Trial and error has always been the player's friend.

While the game is all that fun and challenging like its predecessor, one minor thing I want to add and that is the ability to re-adjust the pieces when I make a mistake so I don't have to erase it and start over. Nonetheless, it's another great puzzle and I hope to see this on the iphone and ipad.

Meanwhile, here is Cargo Bridge 2 walkthrough showing the best solutions covering all levels in areas Green Hills, The Moon and The Construction Site.
