The first DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been leaked online, and it's coming to Xbox LIVE first. The DLC is titled Revolution and includes four new multiplayer maps -- Hydro, Downhill, Grind and Mirage -- a zombie map named 'Die Rise' and the first weapon available through DLC in Call of Duty, the Peacekeeper SMG. The DLC pack has a release date of January 29th, available on Xbox LIVE first. Season Pass holders will have access to Revolution at no additional cost, while others will be able to buy the DLC for, probably, 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).

MP1st leaked the promotional images, which was tweeted by @RaptorClaw141 who spotted the promotional poster in his local GameStop.

Considering I haven't seen any of these promotional posters at the five GameStop store located near me, I think someone messed up at that GameStop. I can't make out what some of those maps might be, but Mirage looks like it has an Asian influence, and Downhill looks to be in snowy mountains. The addition of the Peacekeeper SMG is exciting, and I'm curious to see how it performs considering that SMGs got a nerf not too long ago.

Microsoft + R2 Studios + Xbox 720 + ??? = world dominance?

To contact us Click HERE

It’s no secret that Microsoft is making some sort of power move in 2013.  What it is exactly has yet to be confirmed despite all the stipulation.  Many are thinking it will be a next gen console being revealed at this year’s E3 – an Xbox 720 perhaps? Regardless if it is a new gaming system or not, Microsoft’s actions lead us to believe that they will continue to make the Xbox (and future Xbox consoles) far more than just a video game system.

Through purchasing R2 Studios, Microsoft is showing some of its cards for what it wants in the future.  If you recall, both Apple and Google were trying to get their hands on R2 Studios but it was Microsoft that got them in the end. In a nut shell, R2 Studios works with the distributing and displaying digital media on televisions.  This most likely is another step in Microsoft offering more options and synergy to your house hold appliances: smartphone, gaming console, television, tablets, computers, etc.

If R2 Studios was bought for the purpose of integrating something awesome in the new Xbox, Microsoft could have one hell of a show this E3.  Now just to figure out what those three question marks are…

Amazon has assembled their "Best of 2012 in Gaming" list. The editors have narrowed it down to 20 games, complete with links to buy them at discounted prices -- how convenient! To compile the list, Amazon Games' editors use their judgment, as well as user reviews, "to ensure our choices were in line with the opinions of our customers." So, if anything, user feedback had a larger role in this Best of 2012 list than most other lists. The games on the list, their prices and consoles are:

Diablo 3 made the list? And Telltale's The Walking Dead should definitely be higher, considering it won multiple Game of the Year awards. If you're interested in purchasing any of the above games that made Amazon's list, you can find them HERE.

MOBA-style PvP coming to World of Warcraft with Defense of the Alehouse map?

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Image

Blizzard's long-standing MMORPG World of Warcraft could be borrowing a PvP concept from one of Blizzard's popular mods, Defense of the Ancients. New footage and images of a new PvP feature have been leaked, sparking speculation that World of Warcraft could be getting a MOBA-themed update in the 5.2 patch.

For those unfamiliar, "MOBA" is short for "multiplayer online battle arena." The term stems from the popular Warcraft 3 mod, DotA (Defense of the Ancients). The concept pits two teams against each other in a race to destroy the other team's guard towers and reach their base. The teams are accompanied by waves of NPC-controlled units and typically engage in several skirmishes throughout the match. The mod has sparked a whole new genre of MOBA-style games led by League of Legends -- which recently became the most played video game in the world.

So, what leads us to believe that World of Warcraft will borrow this MOBA-style of gameplay and incorporate it in its PvP? Leaked footage of a top-down battlefield known as "Defense of the Alehouse" was first unearthed by WoWSerbia. WoW Insider then reported that the map is part of Blizzard's 5.2 update and posted an image of the map overview, suggesting it could support up to ten players at once -- two teams, five vs five? It's perfect for PvP.

Looking at the map, it appears to be the traditional setup for a MOBA game. There seems to be three main lanes (pathways in which the towers and NPCs are located) and a jungle area connected them. Traditionally, MOBA's are top-down view, but if this is being implemented in World of Warcraft, it'll most likely resemble Smite -- a third-person game developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios.

Everything about the map screams MOBA, but we'll have to wait and see. If it turns out to be true, I think this would be a great addition to the PvP portion of the game. Not only does it provide an entirely new PvP mode, but it totally opens the game up to more strategy. Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts.

Well, this blows. Earlier today, Microsoft reported that Xbox Live was suffering from a few annoying issues.

Among the affected features were HBO Go, Hulu Plus, and Netflix. Additionally, cloud storage was also undergoing some problems, with players not able to access their save data.

The video services appear to be in working order once more. Still no official word on the cloud storage. If you're no longer seeing that 0x807b0198 error message when trying to access cloud data, be sure to let us know in the comments section below.

A picture posted on the Twitter account @OzModChips showed a hacked Nintendo 3DS. Saying they had nothing to do with the hack and that they're just reposting the pic, they also acknowledged that they know the picture doesn't prove anything. The picture found its way over to NeoGAF, where people started dreaming the sweet dreams region-free 3DS gaming and debating whether or not the picture was fake.

Later on in the thread, this photo was also posted:

Original Mega Man released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop

Mega Man

Yesterday, the original Mega Man released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $4.99. Mega Man -- originally released in 1987 -- takes up 61 blocks on your 3DS' SD card. That's tiny. Having never played the original Mega Man (I know, I know!), I've been looking forward to its release on the eShop. I know I could have just played an emulator, but I wanted to play it on my 3DS XL. Mega Man 2 is also coming to the 3DS eShop on February 7, 2013, with the rest of the Mega Man 3-6 coming sometime in 2013.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels also came to the 3DS eShop for $4.99. The Wii U eShop is also seeing a pretty good sale for indie games right now, which includes Trine 2: The Director's Cut, Little Inferno, and Chasing Aurora, which you can read about HERE.

5 years old kid gets pre-owned 3DS with homemade porn on it for Christmas

Nintendo 3DS XL Image

Someone in Santa’s workshop got a bit lazy this holiday season.  After all, you never know when that refurbished 3DS you bought for your 5 year old will have homemade porn on it from the assumed previous owners – oops.  Little Braydon Giles got a bit extra under the tree this year after he got on his Nintendo handheld system.  There were a total of nine photos of people ‘spreading the holiday cheer,’ if you know what I mean.

Unsurprisingly, Braydon’s father was all but happy with this development.  Mark Giles asked his older son to help delete the photos that “traumatized” his family.  Perhaps ‘traumatized’ is too powerful of a word, but what do I know – I don’t have children.  The Nintendo 3DS was bought from GameStop and the company had this to say about it:

"GameStop is currently researching this situation. We have a rigorous quality control process in place to ensure that existing content is removed from all devices before they are re-sold. Out of millions of transactions each year, ones like this happen very rarely. Our number one priority is to make this right for our customer."

Okay, okay, okay, I know I should feel better after this statement but that’s not really what I got out of it.  When I read this all I saw was ‘this isn’t the first time this has happened.’  Mental note, buy more used systems from GameStop.  My final thoughts with this are that there are better means to take pictures of your ‘holiday activities.’  I’m assuming the people who took these pornographic photos did it for this EXACT shock reason that they are getting out of people; I’d say if that’s the case they were more than successful.

Will someone please think of the children!?

Visceral Games wants you to swear at Dead Space 3

Dead Space 3

Visceral Games has found a way to use Microsoft's Kinect voice-recognition system to encourage players to swear at their TVs.

"We actually have some commands that people will need to figure out," Steve Papoutsis, the executive producer of Dead Space 3, told CVG. "But there are commands where you might be in a certain situation and you might yell a specific expletive and it might behave in a way that you want it to."

Players can also use the voice detection to share ammo and items, for instance. Or you can be less kind and use it to grief "just your friends."

The developer left out gesture controls since it didn't build the game with them in mind.

"When we have approached things like motion control, we've done that from the ground up, such as with Extraction on the other platforms," said Papoutsis. "We were allowed to think of it as an integral part of that experience. So with Dead Space 3, it didn't make sense to put that in."

fire's revenge walkthrough
Fire's Revenge is another new physics based point and click game from nextplay. This game is hot right now and borderline pyromaniacs are playing this as I type this. The player's goal is to build the largest fire the city has ever witnessed and prove all the other fire persons that you are the most fiery of them all. Yes, you are the flame in this game so act like one.

There are thirty levels in it including the tutorials that will walk you through the controls and mechanics. There are achievements for those who love to achieve something for extra challenge. With the goal that you have to touch as many planks as you can in order to get higher rating, some levels in this game are relatively difficult but not impossible. It's just that you will have a lot of trial and error moments. Here is Fire's Revenge walkthrough demonstrating how to beat the game.
